Our Financial Integrity
2024 Annual Report
Thank you for your continued commitment to CSC as we strive with all our might to meet the needs of the children in our care in Cebu, Philippines. What a great calling and privilege it is to join God where He is at work. We are honored to come alongside children of all ages and stages of life–even into adulthood–to show God's love in a variety of ways.
Here's an update on how your support made a difference at CSC last year.
Financial
We are happy to make our 2024 Annual Report available online. I invite you to view our report, our audited financial statements, and tax form.
A quick look at our income budget for 2025 (through August) shows we are running about 3% behind for this time of the year. It's no surprise that the last few months of the year are our largest giving months, so that is why we are SO thankful for operating reserves to get us through the "leaner" months AND also for the ongoing support of our monthly givers and those who respond to our fundraising appeal letters and personal meetings.
We are still seeking designated funding for furnishing Hope House (more updates below). This is a big building to furnish, and we are doing our best to repurpose furniture and other items on hand. We have budgeted $250,000 this year to fully furnish the house and office and provide for any project closeout costs. We are thankful for those who are making special gifts toward the project.
Program
School in the Philippines is back in full swing, both at Cebu Children of Hope School (CCHS) and all the other schools AND colleges our residents attend. Prayers are appreciated for our teachers and all those who guide and direct the steps of our CSC students.
We have welcomed more children in 2025 than we have in recent years. This is a sobering reminder that there are children outside of CSC who have experienced loss and trauma that brings them to our loving CSC family. Praise God that we have been able to meet the needs of six additional children so far this year, with word that more may be coming our way soon.
Seventeen are now living in Hope House and are beginning their new journey, navigating senior high school, college, life, and professional skills training. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you!
Operations
You may hear soon from our new Stewardship Manager, Sue Yonker. I'm thrilled that Sue has joined our U.S. office. She may be one of your first points of contact if you reach out with questions about your giving. We are thankful for Sue, who has been working hard coordinating 2025 events.
We are looking forward to our September 13 Legacy Family Picnic for former CSC residents, adoptive families and former CSC missionaries and to our September 20 Legacy Dinner, a fundraising event for our Minnesota Shareholder supporters. We hope to expand our Shareholder gatherings to other areas of the country where many of YOU are located. We will be in touch as we plan for 2026 events. Please reach out if you have any questions.
